Hip Pain Shouldn't Hold You Back From Your Goals

You've dealt with frustration long enough. These are the struggles we hear from active adults across Philadelphia every week:

Generic Treatments That Don't Last

You've tried traditional physical therapy and got temporary relief, then found yourself right back where you started. Cookie-cutter exercises aren't solving the real problem with your hip.

Missing Out on What You Love

Every run feels risky. Every squat session makes you nervous. You're tired of tiptoeing around movements and saying 'no' to the activities that make you feel alive and strong.

No Clear Path Forward

You've seen multiple doctors, tried different treatments, and still don't have answers. You're frustrated, confused, and wondering if you'll ever feel confident in your hip again.

Root-cause approach that prevents pain from coming back, not just temporary relief

"I cannot speak highly enough of Nick and the team at More than Movement. I've been in physical therapy for over 10 years due to 6 different knee surgeries. During this time, I've worked with at least 8 different physical therapy providers, and nothing has come remotely close to the quality of care that the More Than Movement team provides. After 6 months of working with Nick, I'm pain-free, my knee and back feel incredible, and I'm starting the process of running again for the first time in 8 years."

"More Than Movement is the gold standard in Philadelphia! Nick has built a truly amazing team and facility covering your physical therapy and training needs. My PT sessions were like workouts—well planned with heavy focus on progressive strength and mobility. By 2-3 months, I was walking with a normal gait and by months 5-6 and was running with 95-6 speed."

Your Hip Pain Questions Answered

Get clarity on what to expect when you choose More Than Movement for your recovery.

1. How is More Than Movement different from traditional physical therapy?

We provide full 60-minute one-on-one sessions with a Doctor of Physical Therapy every single visit—no techs, no cycling through multiple patients. You'll receive hands-on treatment on your first visit, a custom program delivered through our mobile app, and direct messaging access to your therapist between sessions. We focus on root-cause solutions, not temporary relief.

2. Do you accept insurance?

We are an out-of-network provider, which means we can spend the time you deserve without insurance restrictions. We provide superbills you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. Many clients find the investment worthwhile given the personalized care and lasting results. We offer a free phone consultation to discuss pricing and payment options that work for your situation.

3. How long are sessions and how many will I need?

Every session is a full 60 minutes of focused, one-on-one time with your Doctor of Physical Therapy. The number of sessions varies based on your specific condition, goals, and how your body responds to treatment. During your initial evaluation, we'll create a personalized treatment plan with clear expectations and milestones so you always know where you stand.

4. What should I expect at my first visit?

Your first visit includes a comprehensive movement assessment to understand exactly what's causing your hip pain and why. We'll discuss your history, goals, and lifestyle. Then we'll get to work—you'll receive hands-on treatment on day one, not just an evaluation. You'll leave with clarity about your condition, a personalized plan, and exercises you can start immediately.

5. What should I bring to my appointment?

Wear comfortable athletic clothing that allows us to see and assess your movement (shorts are ideal for hip pain). Bring athletic shoes if you're a runner or athlete. If you have any relevant imaging (X-rays, MRIs) or medical records, feel free to bring them, but they're not required. Most importantly, bring your questions and goals—we want to hear your story.

6. How quickly will I see results?

Many clients notice improvements in pain and movement quality within the first few sessions. However, lasting results take time—we're focused on fixing the root cause, not just masking symptoms. Your timeline depends on factors like how long you've had pain, your activity level, and your consistency with your home program. We'll set realistic expectations during your initial evaluation and track progress together every step of the way.
