Still Hurting After Weeks of Rest and Ice?

Elbow pain that isn't treated at the source doesn't just linger — it compounds. Here's what most people are dealing with when they finally walk through our door.

The Pain Keeps Coming Back

You rested, you iced, maybe you even tried a brace — but the moment you pick up a weight, a racket, or your kid, the aching, burning, or sharp pain in your elbow returns. Temporary fixes don't address the movement patterns and strength deficits driving the problem.

Your Training and Performance Are Suffering

Tennis elbow, golfer's elbow, and chronic overuse injuries don't just hurt — they quietly steal your progress. You're modifying workouts, skipping sessions, and watching your performance plateau while the issue quietly worsens with every compensation your body makes.

Generic PT Hasn't Worked

You've done the standard exercises. You've sat in a waiting room while a tech ran electrical stimulation for 20 minutes. Cookie-cutter programs designed for the average patient weren't built for your goals, your body, or your lifestyle — and the results show it.

"I've been in physical therapy for over 10 years due to 6 different knee surgeries. I've worked with at least 8 different physical therapy providers, and nothing has come remotely close to the quality of care that the More Than Movement team provides. After 6 months of working with Nick, I'm pain-free, my knee and back feel incredible, and I'm starting the process of running again for the first time in 8 years."

I went to More Than Movement with chronic shoulder pain that was disrupting my life and sleep. As an active person and a weightlifter, I wanted a PT who would meet me where I was at. Nick delivered big time. He took me back to basics in my training and built me back up. I'm happy to report that my shoulder pain is gone and the muscles are stronger than they've ever been.

I just want to say my journey has been long—four low back surgeries and cervical fusion in my neck. I had done PT before, but when I stopped of course pain and weakness was back. Working with Nick was a whole different experience on PT! The one on one and gradual buildup on strength training was key. I can't THANK Nick enough for pushing me in a good way and showing me what I was capable of doing!

Your Questions, Answered

Everything you need to know before your first visit to our Philadelphia elbow pain physical therapy and fitness studio.

What does elbow pain physical therapy at More Than Movement involve?

Every treatment plan is built around your specific diagnosis, goals, and lifestyle. For elbow pain — whether tennis elbow, golfer's elbow, or a general overuse injury — treatment typically combines hands-on manual therapy (joint mobilization, soft tissue work, IASTM/scraping, dry needling), progressive strength and loading exercises, and neuromuscular re-education to correct the movement patterns driving the problem. You receive hands-on treatment starting at your very first session.

Do you treat elbow pain even if I'm also a fitness or gym client?

Absolutely — that's exactly what we're built for. More Than Movement is both a physical therapy clinic and a performance fitness studio. Our providers are equally fluent in clinical rehab and performance training, so your treatment integrates seamlessly with your lifting, sport, or fitness goals rather than working against them.

How long are sessions and will I always see the same provider?

Yes — every session is 60 minutes, one-on-one with your assigned Doctor of Physical Therapy or performance coach. We never double-book, and we never hand you off to a tech. Continuity of care is central to how we work.

Do you accept insurance?

More Than Movement operates out-of-network. We provide a superbill after each session that you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. We also accept HSA and FSA payments. We recommend calling your provider to understand your out-of-network benefits before your first visit.
